Programming and Fixtures
The Seica Application Programs Team has many years eperience developing test programs, fixtures and adaptors for every Seica Test System, both for bed of nails family and flying probe (fixtureless) family.
Using one of the many CAD Converters developed by Seica, the necessary data to drill the fixture (executed using CNC Drilling Machines) and the automatic generation of the Test Program are extracted from CAD data of the specific customer's board. If CAD Data isnot available, the necessary data may be picked directly from the board, by using cameras built into our flying probe systems.
The Application Programs may be delivered as a 'turnkey' solution including fixture, special hardware if needed, and fully debugged test program. If required the installation may be executed by Seica technicians, with ongoing telephone support or modem connection.
It is also possible to provide only the fixture or only the test program, depending on the customer's needs.
The fixtures may be equipped with production useful tools such as automatic stamps to mark tested boards, mechanical drivers to rotate trimmers or switches, hit keys or test connectors. It is also possible to equip the fixtures with cameras to perform functional/visual tests of displays mounted on the UUT (Unit Under Test).
We develop both analog and digital In-circuit Test Programs or Functional Test Programs. The Functional Test Programs may use a bed of nails; if not, the fixture contacts the board through the connectors. The Functional Test Programs may also be developed with the help of a mathematical model of the board and by simulating the board with a powerful behavioral digital simulator developed by Seica.
The test programs may use standard Seica pneumatic or vacuum fixtures. Market standard fixtures such as Virginia Panel may also be used. Some of Seica's receivers may accept competitor type fixtures too.
